This was in yesterday's mail. It's from a Boston Globe Red Sox set made in '78. Widest white borders ever.
"Who's Tony Horton?", you ask? He's this guy. Sad, but fascinating story, this guy. He's also one of the longest-tenured major league players between 1952-present to never have a Topps card. I'm still not sure what the story was there, but there was a lot of weirdness where Tony was concerned.
I got this '71 Kellogg's joint a ways back too, but I'm so far behind on posting stuff that it's ridiculous.
I have a few more of his cards (the Globe Imports playing card and the Nabisco Team Flakes card) on their way to me. Still need to get off my ass and get the TCMA "The 1960s" card, and hell will probably freeze over before I score the Kahn's Wieners (I said "wieners") card of ol' Tony, but I'll be keeping my eyes peeled.
