Super quick, one run-on sentence question post

How many of you actively collect football, hockey, basketball, boxing, miscellaneous other sports and non-sport cards, and would be willing and able to trade them with me?

  1. I can't believe nobody responded. Unfortunately, I don't collect that other stuff. Good luck!

  2. Yeah, there's this weird void I find in the trading world, both in older cards and on the current stuff, where most peoples' primary focus is baseball. I don't spend much time on open forums or larger closed groups devoted to these things, mostly because their systems of secret handshakes and history are daunting to me, but I've run into serious roadblocks out here, especially where base cards of "current" non-baseball sets are concerned. I don't know if I'm just collecting the wrong sets when I actually try to setbuild or what, but it's kind of stunning to me (especially in light of what bargain hunters people are) that no one in my reading audience seems to build Score football sets, no one's really tried to build the most recent Hoops set, that sort of thing. Maybe people just hate Panini with that much of a passion, I don't know.

  3. I don't collect them, but have a few for trade at the bottom of my trade list. Would only trade for baseball, and 99% of it is what I assume must be the junk-wax equivalent for those sports.

    1. Bo: we're probably overdue for one anyway. I'll have a look, thanks.

  4. I collect a bunch of non-sport sets and certain hits from non-sport releases. But as far as the sets go, I don't ever piece them together, I just buy the whole base sets off eBay or from dealers at shows.

I also have my Women In Sports collection, which covers all sports, really. I'm interested in getting cards I don't have for that group.

Being in Japan, I have access to a bunch of oddball sports and non-sports products - sumo wrestling, gymnastics, golf, bowling, soccer of course, plus idol cards and random other pop-culture stuff. That's if you're interested in random Japanese stuff.

Of course I'd be willing to trade Japanese stuff for anything I need - non-sports, women in sports, or baseball. I don't get my hands on US stuff here in Japan.

And I say all that knowing that you probably just want American cards that I can't help you with. But the offer is there!

  6. OK, I collect Basketball and Football. Not as much as Baseball, and I don't buy packs, so my inventory may be dated, but I have stuff. What are you interested in???
