Real Interesting Blaster Spotted In Target

Yes, a guaranteed Pete Rose autograph for $30, plus 59 other base cards from this set (which is a 50 card base set; pretty good chance that you could put it away in a box of two).

Hobby boxes of last year's Leaf Pete Rose set were not cheap. I guess that didn't work out so well for Leaf, or Pete signed a LOT of stickers for them.

I've got Pete's signature on a ball already, but this is still mighty tempting.

  1. I was tempted by this when I saw it in Target, too. Then I saw some of the cards on one of the blogs. Not tempted anymore.

  2. I liked last year's. They were fun, lotsa Pete in leisure suits.

  3. I was tempted to buy one of these at the show from a dealer who wanted $25/each or 4 for $90. I ended up walking away and when I went back a little later, he had sold all of his boxes.

  4. Just checked ebay. Complete 50 card sets are going for about 6 bucks shipped with autos for around 15. Looks like you could do better that way.

  5. I guess I can't get the taste out of my mouth for his gambling on the game. I see my Walmart with a few of these, and there is the part of me that knows what he did when he played the game, and how awesome to have his auto. Then the part of me that knows how he lied when he was managing the game, and I want nothing to do with him.
